Taiwan Single-Lane Free-Flow

Both manual tolling and ETC co-existed in one toll booth, which allowed more vehicles to pass through the toll gate with throughput of 1,750 vehicles per hour per ETC lane. The system adopted flat-rate scheme. There were 23 toll plazas and 144 ETC lanes.    

Vietnam POC

As national undergoing rapid industrialization, Vietnam is currently constructing tolled highways. With the expected increase in traffic volume and the need to implement digital payment infrastructure, the government decided to rollout electronic toll collection across its existing and future highway network.


FETCi advised the Vietnamese national ETC operator in the development of an ETC master implementation plan. We also constructed the nation’s first RFID-based ETC pilot site in Central Vietnam, which formed the basis for the future national ETC system from coexist barrier-based ETC with manual toll collection to All-Electronic MLFF ETC.
