Leveraging existing toll facilities and sharing the ETC data with different authorities have infinite potentials to develop ITS and Smart City applications. Technology law enforcement is not a new technique to prevent certain driving actions or behaviors against the law.
If allowed by law and jurisdiction, ETC data can be applied to technology enforcement. When an agency or an operator sensed a certain vehicle on the blacklist, it will send alert to law enforcement unit. Law enforcement officers can track down the blacklisted vehicle on an APP and cut its access into cities.
