Weigh in Motion is becoming widely adopted by many cities around the world to manage the access of heavy goods vehicles. Highway authorities are also using WiM as a tool to charge tolls by vehicles' weights and further prevent overweight vehicles to enter certain road sections.
FETC International adopts pre-selection model and three gantry structure and deploys WiM sensors and equipment to collect vehicle data and then transmit data to computerized platform for weight management and send alerts to enforcement if a vehicle doesn't comply weight limits.
Adopts AI at the edge of Camera to recognize license plate number.
In the event of heavy rains or dense fog, recognition of license plate may be challenging. FETCi adds RFID antenna to strengthen the recognition accuracy.
The WiM sensor can weigh in motion vehicles and map the data with vehicle information. When a vehicle passes, the detection equipment on the gantry and the WIM platform are activated at the same time to identify vehicles and weigh the weight to confirm whether it can pass directly.
